I wish I had the time and patience for an install like that, I'll stick to bicycles for now!

I did the IASCA rounds in 2004.. after a break since 1994, it was a great year,, but its expensive and I have gained about as much street cred and wisdom as I am likely to.

My car is an out and out Sound Quality job,, I am not interested in how loud it will go.. I do know that these brand of subs have been punished to over 150dB in someone elses car but that is not what I am about.. This is a personal set of headphones that my body wears when I am driving..

You are more than welcome.. October seems a long way off but if you ever want to meet up at a half way house just give us a tinkle.. I last went to CC in 2004 for the Audi day,, it was a great day so it all sounds good to me..

Mason also has a SQ Audi A2 but I haven't seen him around for a while.. I know our cars sound very different as we both have a totally different approach to SQ..

Me, I chase after that studio quality, can't tell where the speakers are sort of sound that is very 3 dimensional regardless to which front seat you sit in.

In 2004 I got to listen to lots of cars, some of which had spent over £30K on the sound systems,, they looked fantastic but I wouldn't actually want any of them for myself,, certainly not on a daily basis as I like my sounds to be mellow and laid back whereas most of these systems where way to bright and in your face for me..

Look forward to meeting you some time..

omitchell, looking at your pictures you seem to say that lots of noise enters the car via the front floor section, whay product did you use to solve this and would you recommend it as a general sound proofing upgrade?

tdiman,

efmax mentioned this and a commonly used sound proofing product is called dynamat, a lot of people tend to do the doors and boot, but i think i remember reading over an entire car you'll get about 2db quieter and a lot of extra weight
