DAB radio options

Yes it was the kit I had but I would not recommend it. As I said I had issues with a flat battery after this was fitted and also remember an A4 B7 also suffering battery issues after a GW Pro installation

Mine is the DAB-U for USB
Did you get to the root of the battery drain problem? I was looking at combining the Gateway Pro and the add-on DAB module with a Symphony 2 head unit. I think your comments may have pi**ed on my bonfire....

Ok. Story is. I had the AMI and DAB-U within an Audi phone ECU. I took out the ECU to repair someone else's car. So I needed a phone kit and I had a spare GW5 (now known as a GWpro) and a DAB-G lying around so I thought I would fit them instead to get Bluetooth back.

My car battery got seriously drained as soon as I had done this. Never got around to fixing it. Got a new battery anyways as mine was 13 years old or more. Removed the Dension kit and problems gone.

Bought a new phone ECU and finally got around to fitting it all back together as before and no battery issues.

You can see the new DIS and new style MFSW all functional thanks to Timmus for coding my steering wheel ECU and pointing out my choice of wheel mistake.

Ah, okay so it sees the Dension as a "Media" source, not as a "Radio" source.
