Damaged Steering Wheel

Good evening all! Hope you're well!
I went and got the tracking on my car sorted the other day.
After they'd finished I got back in my car and as soon as I put my hands on the steering wheel I could feel that they'd messed up.
The leather has a big gouge all the way round the bottom half of the wheel where they had put the wheel clamp and something had obviously gone wrong.
I complained and they got the clamp to show me and prove that it couldn't have caused the damage as its covered in rubber. Rubber which had perished and broken off exposing sharp bits of metal.
Anyway, I'm going back next week to see the manager and try and sort something. Im not sure what the best course of action is though. Is it repairable? How much do replacements cost? (Its the standard leather 3 sport spoke wheel).
And if I was to replace the wheel can a multi function one be put in its place and at what cost?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
And just to vent my frustrations a bit more, there was a big dirty hand print on my A pillar inside which annoyed me a lot.
Thank you for listening!
Kind regards
Adam

Might be worth contacting your nearest Trading Standards office for some advice. Obviously this outfit has damaged your wheel (we all know if something is wrong with our vehicles after work has been done!) Personally, I would want a replacement steering wheel. Good Luck. Paul.

You may be able to get it re-trimmed in new leather, and could ask the garage to cover the costs. Worth a google?
