Just for comparison, I found this, in the US. Many styles available, not just wood.

Yes, they're RHD, but the A2 is very symmetrical I believe.
Prices range from about $110 to $150.

Apart from the brushed aluminium, not my cup of thea either....

It's interesting that a US company offers such products for strictly European only cars such as the A2!

I really do wonder what an A2 would look like with the brush alumiunium kit on it's dash. It would probably be a bit over the top, don't you think?

Picking up on your discussion, I've put a new topic in modifications section. There was a web site supplying the aluminium dial rings and gear shift rings (standard A2 fair)-where's that gone as I can't find it anymore.
I'm sure the Audi dealer will assist, but not paying their prices necessarily.

@Stuart
yeah, amazing to see they have it. Wonder if they ever sold any ;)
And the aluminium attracts me as a material, but when I think of my own dash, which I had to have in the black/black scheme, I'd hate to see that being messed up with flashy, light-colored patches of anything. And wood? Urmm...no thank you!
But everyone is entitled to have their own tastes and likings. In Dutch: 'over smaak valt niet te twisten', which freely translates to 'you can't argue about taste'. Simple as that.

@David
The shift trim ring can be had from vagparts.com for about 14 pounds. See if this url works:

https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.oneandoneshop.co.uk/sess/utn153f03376c79bd8/shopdata/index.shopscript

If not, go to the shop, audi, a2, interior, gear knobs + gaiters

As for the dialrings: if I look at my own dash, I don't think the rings could be mounted separately. So that would translate into a full tacho replacement if you wanted the rings. Probably not worth it.
But then again, I could be wrong. You could read this, I guess:

HHmmmmm
Quite like the dash kits but probably be too much aluminium on the dash if all the kit went on.
Have thought about doing it but always in 2 minds about it, Has anyone had it done to their car yet, would be good to see one in the flesh.

cheers[21]

I like dash kit, i think also you have to see it inthe flesh. Ik think also it's look a litle cheap? Whene it's done from factory fit like the new cars you can by now?

1.4 Petrol, Airco, remote, ABT front stripes.

just decided to get the dash kit in aluminuim effect
from Direct car parts
Thought it looked good, might not put the whole kit on just a few bits, so next time we go on a social you can see what you think of it
Anyway got to wait 10-12 days now before a recieve it.[8D][:p]

cheers
