Daytime running lights!

Hello all!
Ive just finished my little project today and thought id post some pics to see what you all think! I didnt like the fact that my car wasnt fitted with fog lamps and i wasnt keen on the boring blanking plate in their place so i decided to add some extra sidlelights down there! I made them from scratch apart from the fog light surrounds which i bought from Audi but all in they cost me around £40 to make!
When the lights arent on they just look completely black because I put Laminx on them but when i turn my sidelights on the LEDs shine through this! I look forward to your comments!

Nice one! :), I have started mine about 2 months ago, but haven't got round to finish them, I bought the 'halo' rings to go in there.

hi Adam i will admit i read your post and thought "not sure about that" but after seeing your pic i's ---- i really like it well done. not sure everyone will like it but hell thats what makes life interesting.why not bring it to ADI show later in the year for us all to see? cheers mike

I'm not feeling it fella, sorry but to each their own. It just looks a little too aftermarket. Can't fault the effort though ;-)

Thats a good effort :)
I think no matter how its done its all aftermarket as everybody knows they wernt fitted as standard as the car is so old.
A good Original Idea,I hope the weather stays off them.

I like them too, but I guess you could not fit them as well as having fog lights? I think I would prefer the daytime running lights in the headlamps still though but it looks quite good..

Richard, you can fit them into the fog lights as I previously did a mod for mine, but then undid it, like I have many other mods. As long as the fog light bulb is the standard rating otherwise it gets a little hot in there and the leds, which were hot glued on, which can soften and give with the extra heat. Other securing methods can be used to overcome this issue I suppose.

I may re-do it and show you soon.
