Dead battery.. Need urgent help, please!

Did you cover the negative terminal with anything?

It seems the 2 plastic "cap" it came with not good so I just cut out some parts of the cap where the terminal cable run.

My negative terminal is uncovered. For the positive terminal, I transferred the original cover across from the old battery.

When replacing any dead battery, it is worth checking that there is no electrical drain. If the car is used regularly (at least twice a week) you may not notice, but a 3w drain could reduce the life to just 2 years or less.
My original lasted 10 yrs and the went through another 2 before i knew there was a problem. It turned out to be a window motor in my case, but i believe the most common fault on a2's is the ccu unit. From memory normal drain is about 40 mA ? Car should go into sleep mode about a minute after locking. Anything around 0.1A (about 1.2w) or over is likely to cause a problem sooner or later or just drastically reduce battery life.
