No the dipsticks are all different for each model, 1.2, 1.4 TDI, 1.4 and 1.6 petrol

Our 1.4 Petrol BBY Engine Oil Level Warning Light has stuck On a couple of times and stayed on for a few weeks. Just kept checking the Oil Level was OK until it went out again.

I have had a couple of Audi TDI's (including an A2) that have an over zealous oil level sensor. The oil level light comes on when the level on the dipstick is only slightly below the maximum. On my A6 you can switch off the sensor in VCDS. On A2's I have not found a way to do this and the only solution is to keep it topped up to the max with oil or buy a new oil level sensor.

I'd welcome any other solutions.

You can check exact amount of oil in mm with vcds. There is warning threshold value which in tdi I believe is 55mm my current level is 74mm on my second tdi it's 65mm. Its in instrument cluster VCDS menu. Check how much oil is in the engine trough VCDS

Assuming I find this then would anyone know how to adjust the threshold for the warning value in order to correct a misguiding sensor?
