Dipstick 'Tube'

Morning,

Does anyone have a picture or diagram showing how the tube that the dipstick sits in is secured to the front aperture? I noticed when checking my oil that my tube isn't secure so when you take the dipstick out you have to take the bonnet off to get it back in again.

So at the moment the tube in the engine bay is not fixed to the hole in the front service hatch, and I am guessing it should be.

There seems to be more than one arrangement changing in 2002. You ask for pictures, some courtesy of VAGfool which the 'About' indicates the same as you, 2002 1.4 petrol.

Horn mod didnt happen today as I used up all the daylight with a long lunch and faffing about over the radiator skew issue* and then an oil change** which has revealed a dipstick/tube mismatch. *This was down to a badly installed top mounting rubber being 90° out and not clipped into the rad...
