door locks

My guess is the bar from the exterior handle to the lock ( as pictured a few posts above ) has not been set correctly and the lock itself is not returning to the reset position and as such will not release the lock.

Dont suppose you know if there is a way to open the door without the use if the interior or exterior handle

IF you can get to the bar from the exterior handle and disconnect it from the lock you have a good chance of opening the door. If not.......

Everything else is some form of destruction.

Morning

I’ve managed to get the door panel off and release the aluminium inner panel to allow access to the door lock.

Sadly I still cant open the door. I’ve tried connecting up the lock to the wiring loom, performing a lock and unlock from the drivers door switch all to no avail.

The lock is mechanically blocked due to not being in the reset position. You need to disconnect the exterior handle rod from the lock

Have a look at this video. Note his lock has a short cable for the exterior handle ( as does the A2 rear doors ) same principle but you can see what is needed to reset the lock.
