Driving Lessons!!!

Gave my son his first driving lesson in the A2 on Saturday - after 12 hours with a professional in a 1.7TD Nova.

He surprised me by saying that the A2 is easier to drive, lighter steering and (no surprise) quieter engine. He even managed without stalling it!

I hope he maintains this standard or my nerves will get a little frayed.

When my sister was learning to drive I kept her well away from the A2

Family and driving lessons dont mix, I should know. In between lessons with my instructor I had some driving lessons with my dad, and all we did was argue and fight.

[25]I learned my 11 year old son the clutch and gears and a little driving on a parking from our local footbalclub here in Alkmaar (when there was no game)[9]I told him not to tell his mum he loves it but he preferes our van above the A 2.

The week we got the A2 I had to take my daughter out to build experience before her second test - she passed but on one "lesson" kerbed a front wheel - mother kept remarkably calm.

Clive passed his theory test yesterday so the pressure for ore driving time will increase.

My other half says she wants to learn this year.....

Luckily there is a driving school locally that has Corollas as their cars, so at least she can learn in something the same size and the same layout.

I might even be brave enough to let her have a quick drive in a car park when she's all legal. But then as you say Mal, family and lessons don't mix!.

I wonder if there are any A2's officially as instruction cars?.
