Sounds very interesting, I would love to convert one of my A2,s to electric

They seemed to be doing a Porsche 356, Karmann Gaia, Beetle . . . .

Sadly their EV conversion service stops at cars built until 1980

No complex electronics / abs to integrate at that age

Zero ev have a few vids currently converting an mx5

I emailed them after watching the programme on Thursday. As you said, they can not use their Electric Conversion on an A2.

They confirmed that they would be able to convert the 1966 Beetle. I asked how they would convert the 1972 Type 3 Automatic Variant when the Automatic Transmission uses Manifold Vacuum as one of the determining factors for changing gear. They said only by also converting it to Manual Transmission.
