Engine jerkiness related to error codes Injection Circuit Fail?

Hi!

I've just had my A2 1.4 petrol -05 be read for error codes and it turned out this:
#16588 - translates to: Cyl 4, injector circuit fail in electrical circuit?
#16586 - translates to: Cyl 2, injector circuit fail in electrical circuit?
#16585 - translates to: Cyl 1, injector circuit fail in electrical circuit?
#16587 - translates to: Cyl 3, injector circuit fail in electrical circuit?

I've had the car for about two weeks and I started to wonder if it had anything to do with something that has happened twice in those two weeks.
First time I was driving on the highway about 90-100 km/h and had been driving for about 20 minutes and changed gears and the car started twitching (almost like if I had stepped on the gas pedal for half a second, then the brakes for half a second, then gas, breaks, gas, breaks)... I thought that since I had just changed gears I must have not put the gear in properly put the gear in neutral, slowed down, then put the gear in again (without stopping) and then the car ran perfectly again.
I didn't think twice about it until this same thing happened again the other day. This time I had driven the car for about an hour, then stopped for maybe 2 hours and it was REALLY cold outside. Must have been something like -10 degrees. The car started perfectly when I was gonna continue the drive, but after driving for a short while, maybe 5 minutes, the stutter/twitching/jerkiness was happening again! I did the same thing as last time, put the gear in neutral, slowed down to a stop and this time I shut the engine off. I started it again and could drive off with no problem.
I've had no other problem with the car, everything runs smoothly.

Now, I ask - is this related to the error codes? I wasn't looking for error codes because of this, I just had the test be done as part of the annual inspection just out of curiosity.

If it's not related, should I try and reset the error codes and then forget about it unless it becomes a problem?
If it is related, what should I be trying first?

I've looked in several other threads here where the same error codes are mentioned, but it seems those are writing about having problems getting the engine to start running? Mine always starts, it's only in the middle of a drive that his happens it seems.

Thanks in advance for your help and sorry if grammar and such is not correct, English is not my first language ;-)

Your written English is superb, in all respects. There are many native English speakers who don't do it with the ease that you clearly do.

Sorry not to be of any help with you car!

Your English is beautiful! As to your car I would say that yes your issues are related to the error codes logged. It sounds to me as if the car is misfiring across all 4 cylinders, but the question is, why? Im sure the wisdom of the forum will provide...

Welcome to the forum. I would start by deleting the error codes, and using the car as normal for a few days, then rescanning the car to see if they reoccur.

Check the Earthing points on the car and inside the engine bay, check the wiring for any damage as well.

Keep us informed :)

Cheers

Thank you for your suggestions!

I've arranged to hopefully get my car looked at next week, and will delete error codes and at the same time check the cables and grounding as suggested. I'll post the results afterwards!

Did you ever find out what was the outcome to your fault? Sounds similar to something Im experiencing at the moment!
