Enjoying my A2

Having just driven my A2 for about 1000 miles on a holiday to Cornwall I have to say its an absolute pleasure to drive.
This was the longest journey I have done in the A2 and the car behaved perfectly, loaded with cases and holiday stuff and after a mix of loads of country lanes and motorway driving with the Aircon on full blast it averaged 42 mpg which I think for a petrol engine is pretty good even by today's standards.

Yes the sport is a little bit of a rough ride for some people but I quite like it as it makes it good fun on the twisty Cornwall roads, im about 6'2” but the seats are very comfortable and supportive, I didn't have any back pain or discomfort after many hours of driving.
The front A pillar blind spots are a bit large but after driving a company van with big fat A pillars for a million+ miles I'm used to it.

It did unfortunately fall victim to a dive bomb attack from a seagull in Falmouth which managed to cover most of the front of the car in poo but a quick trip to the jetwash sorted that out.

Even my Mrs had to admit she was glad we took the A2 as she would have struggled on the tight country lanes with the Mondeo estate.

Also the cruise control was a huge bonus, made it so relaxing on the motorway.

A2 seats are the most comfortable cars seats I ever experienced.
