Exclamation mark warning light

Hi all, this morning when I started my a2 up the car beeped 3 times and an exclamation mark warning light showed up on the dash. I've checked the brake fluid level and this is fine, and the brakes seem to still work on my drive to work and back today. I did notice though that the sensor below the brake fluid reservoir looked broken, could this be the reason I am getting this warning message up on the dash? please see the photo below

Could be, any other warning lights, also have you done a scan?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. No other warning lights, just this one. I am unable to see any info on the fuel computer. May be able to get hold of a scanner tomorrow.

Change the sensor. Out of interest are ALL your brake lights coming on only when you press the pedal and going out afterwards?

Then I would certainly start with your brake fluid sensor
