Facebook like button, annoying under topic thread

It.s just since recently I noitice some strange behaviour.
When I open a thread in a topic then there is a little facebook like button, just below the thread title.
But before it's there, after opening the thread, there appears a large space/gap, about 3 or 4 lines or so.
This space then adjusts to 1 line for the facebook like button.

But it's very anoying, when opening a thread, I first get a great space. The thread is shifting up and down with that facebook like button, adjusting his space.

I noticed it know on my iPad. Don't know if this facebook button has been there a long time or just recently.
Can this like button get another place on the site. It's irritating me know.

Or am I the only one suffering this problem?

Reading this on iPad and no problems as you describe. I'm on BT Infinity, which means everything loads quickly, though.

Hi,

Looking at the source for that button - it looks like the source for this iframe comes from Facebook - so perhaps the Facebook code has been changed recently?

If it's a continued annoyance - it could be removed - or at least moved elsewhere on the page. It would be interesting to get some stats from Facebook to see how many people are actually using this feature from the A2OC.

I'd guess no one uses the fb button to 'like' a thread that most people on Facebook would have little to no interest in... I'm just guessing tho.

On my laptop (Win8/Chrome) this behavior doesn't occur. Unlike KSCarrera, on my iPad2 with Chrome browser it still does.

I don't do Facebook so I've no concept of what the button actually does! Can't say this particular feature has irritated me. I did have some concern with the avatar of a Facebook user who 'liked' a2oc ( it was either a bottom or a cleavage superimposed on a face!) - but if this button is an irritant to people we can look at having it removed. Any more feedback in support of Louis' views or otherwise are welcomed.

It would seem to me that its a browser issue --- never had a problem with it loading or in fact spoiling my A2oc experience. cheers mike
