Fault 01435 ATE Teves mk60 ABS economical time/cost repair

Yes I read that too. I have some knowledge of pressure sensors, and it's my personal opinion that repair, and return to the original spec, of a 15+ year old one that has seen, probably, close to 0.5 million cycles, is almost as difficult as NASA's Artemis project.
Mac.
With your knowledge fully taken into account do you find it strange that the refurbed unit carry a lifetime warranty?
I had presumed they had come up with a work around to offer such a bold warranty as thousands of ATE units with all manner of manfactures suffered including BMW, VAG, Ford to name the ones i have replaced in the past.

They know that the parts they re-work are from older vehicles, and statistically, (my guess), those vehicles are unlikely to remain with the same owner for more than a couple of years. Also, many will reach the end of their economic life within a few years. So, the risk of a few claims on the lifetime warranty, is far outweighed by the marketing value of that warranty.
There are very few vehicles that are still being used, as daily drivers, at 15+ years, let alone clocking up 100,000 + miles. Our A2s are rare beasts indeed.
I know my view is somewhat cynical, but a claim rate of, say 10% on the warranty, against the clear profit from 90% is good business. Even the 10% will get fed up after a couple of failures.

Agree. The lifetime warranty is limited.

"It is valid as long as you own the vehicle and is non-transferable."
