Fault code17439 update of earlier post

Hi again,
had the emission warning light come on,
had the car scanned and it came up with:
17439 intake manifold tuning valve(N136) setpoint not reached P1031
any idea whats going on , and remedy,

hi paul it will be the intake runner in the inlet manifold that is possibly stuck or the actuator lever has broken on the side.You could try getting it reset in vag-com but i doubt that will cure it.As i stated in the previous post dont force the runner by using the lever on the left hand side of the inlet plenum as it is easilly damaged and if someone has taken the inlet apart get them to check the runner has not jumped out on re assembly.
One thing you could try is some sea foam spray into the inlet system to try and clean the deposits that are holding the runner stuck if it can be deturmined it is just sticky.

I did get it reset..and you're right the light came back on later!
It's in for a service this week , so I will pass on your advice,
