Hi I've been having a few problems with my

A2 1.6fsi SE 52Plate

The above codes have been read off from my father in laws snap on scanner.

Code 17560 first appeared after a long journey back from Wales I got it cleared and it didnt appear for approx 2 weeks driving. I cleared it again hoping that it wouldnt apper again and it did boo! This time it apperared after about 20-30 miles driving. I then cleared it again and it apperaed accompanied with code 16711 after about 20-30 miles driving.

I have tralwed the net and found some info regarding the faults the best of which is on this site.

Here is my situation I can get car scanned for free and easily and i have a Brother who is a porsche trained tec who runs an independent porsche garage. So i have the means to fix the car its just knowing what to do.

Does anybody have any advice on where to start please?

hope this helps

Reading on the internet, as your aware it could be a number of things.
I would first check for air leaks, also one site mentioned O2 sensor. Have you had any work dont to car before faults appeared.

16711/P0327 - Knock Sensor 1 (G61): Signal Too Low

Possible Symptoms
Irregular rpm
Drivability problems
Loss of power
Engine damage

Possible Causes
Circuit G61 short to Ground
Circuit G61 open
G61 improperly torqued
G61 damaged
Control Module damaged

Possible Solutions
Torque Knock Sensor 1 (G61) to specifications.
Check wiring and connections
Check Knock Sensor 1 (G61) and Knock Control

Special Notes
This feature search for unusual (spontaneous) combustion. The sensor detects unusual vibrations and based on that it generates a voltage. Is this voltage outside a certain limit a dtc will be set.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

17560/P1152/004434 - Long Term Fuel Trim Additive Air; Bank 1; Range 2: System too Lean

Possible Causes
Mass Air Flow Sensors (G70) faulty
Intake Air System faulty/leaking (false Air)
Fuel Injector(s) faulty
Fuel Pump faulty
Exhaust System leaking
Secondary Air Injection System faulty/leaking

Possible Solutions
Check Mass Air Flow Sensors (G70)
Check Intake Air System for Leaks
Check Fuel Injector(s)
Check Fuel Pump
Check Exhaust System for Leaks
Check Secondary Air Injection System

Special Notes
See general Fuel Trim Information.

Ive had a new temp sensor and casing replaced but this was during the on-going problems but nothing else done for months. Ive looked at previous posts about air leaks so will go down that route first. Do you have any idea on what to check? Im goin to scan the car again today and see if the same codes are logged. Cheers for the promt replies. Im planning on selling the car I dont really want 2 as ive had it for 6 years and I love it but my new daughters pushchair doesnt fit!!!! I want to get it sorted as i dont want to pass the problem on and put people of AudiA2's

it is also worth looking for a crack in the egr pipe- it seems to be common to fracturing at about 50k miles. it is located on the right hand side of the engine about 20mm in diameter and will have a heat proof cloth cover on it.
if this leaks it can draw air in and run lean--do you here a tapping on pulling away? the leak seems to make the egr more noisy in operation.
cheers mike

Finally got car sorted after months of non-use the wiring to the knock sensor was knackered and needed replacing. Got it fixed through a mate of my brothers for the price of a drink Whoop!
