First social of 2015-evening meal.

Oops that should be its a round trip of 270 miles and yes we have bought two a2's with us - we did get 60+ mpg ! But Vonnie was slightly more as she has a 6 speed conversion in hers.
This morning we have just been out and fitted Yvonne's new 6 speed gear knob and alcantara trimmed centre console insert. So we are all ready for tonight's evening out with the rest of you.
I'm a little bit peeved to discover the stone I watched flick off the back of a plant moving lorry on the m1 last night has gone through my passengers side fog light !

Cleaned and ready to go. Busy morning. Had to replace the window mechanism in the Beetle so i'm lucky I had time to wash Jules.

It was good to see all the cars in their various colours and guises - also to put names to faces - nice people and good company !. Ive just ordered a couple of things on ebay on the strength of seeing some interesting mods, ie chrome door handles and strips, etc. Thankyou for a well arranged evening.

Hi ... firstly i would like to say a big thanks to A2sumo for organising yet another great evening .... the turnout was fantastic and a credit to all the hard work and time that you put into making these events a success ... secondly thanks to all that came along .. nice to see so many A2s in attendance ... each and every one a credit to their owner .. came away with some more ideas ...some more faces to names .. also thanks to chb for the delivery of my parts .. ... really enjoyed the evening great food and even better company ... zipnjeff
 
Was gutted I wasn't able to make i, but I will be attending the A2cars social. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.
 
Fantastic evening. Great chat. Nice atmosphere and the food and service was good too.

But cold outside for the tyre kicking part - however agreed there were lots of lovely A2's.

First social in a while for me so fantastic to put faces to names of some of our regulars.

Shame I didn't get a chance bring my wee car along as the starter motor decided to pack in!!

Every cloud - I couldn't pick many better places for it to happen than outside Robin's house so it'll be repaired today and I can get on the road back 'up north'

Thanks to everyone who attended. Hats off to sumo and vonnie for the organising.

Steves A2 looks majestic in that picture, took me a while to recognise Jeffs A2 with his winter wheels on ( Still looks good though) Mike's FSI looks as good as ever, and you can recognise the Air 2 straight away unless it was another A2 parked in a deep pothole :)

Hi guys and girls as you know I can get carried away with numbers but last night I totaly forgot to count cars. So looking at pics and a bit of head scratching we had 21 A2's looking fab - I will upload a few pics when I get home. image.jpg

Thank you once again Mike & Yvonne for yet another well planned event. A fantastic turnout and many very well presented A2's. Great to see old friends and of course much welcome to the new members. Good to see Murdo at a function again too.

Just to echo the sentiments already in the thread. Thanks Milke and Yvonne for organising a great social, sorry we couldn't stay for the meal. Was nice to meet everyone and to put a face to the name. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next socials
