Fitting Audi 2003 floppy wiper conversion

Could someone re-post the wiper fitting guide please? Just had our windscreen crack after replacing the wiper blades and noticed the arm has been hitting bottom of the windscreen and plastic trim. Thought may as well replace the wiper arm with floppy type (if can still buy one) when windscreen is replaced.

£75 if claimed on car insurance (for most policies these days) and does not affect your no claims bonus, however most insurance Co do limit the number of glass claims too 3 in any two years period

I would gestimate around £150 if not going through insurance Co, plus fitting (its a bonded screen) and also as a top tint so may be near £200

Cheers,
Paul
Cheers didn't think of that. £75 excess with our insurance, that is a relief!

I have a pre-2002 Tdi so it has the old-style wiper arm. I thought about replacing the whole arm but this is a bit expensive (I'm still looking for a cheap one). So I replaced the blade only, found this one on eBay:

Did it 4 months ago - blade works really well and no squeaky noises. See the pic for end result, it looks a LOT better than the original blades. From the driver's seat it's barely visible.

Your wiper arm looks in very good condition. They have a habit of rusting, I need to replace mine at some point as it doesn't look too pretty. I might paint it in satin black as a stop gap.

I didn't know they tend to rust, I only got the car a few months ago. The only thing I did was applying a bit of wax while I was polishing/waxing the car. I will now keep an eye out for rust and act if it starts happening.

It's just on the little rivets, just makes it look a little untidy
Oh well too late. New wiper arm fitted now but then old one was hitting the windscreen so think I had to replace anyway. Expensive though £103 from Audi Cardiff! Local parts suppliers told me only available as original part from Audi. Guide on here was perfect. Windscreen fitter recently removed wiper arm so came off easy enough.
