Fitting rear badges

Good evening,

Anyone got ideas on how to fit new badges to the rear of the car?

For example superglue or silcone sealer? Clearly I have no idea as never done it.

I'm talking about the a2 and tdi badges. Positioning wise I can work that through.

Thanks

Okay will leave for another day, the old ones will be old glue then and impossible to refit. I can't justify spending on new badges right now.

They are fixed with double sided tape. New ones come with tape fitted to the badge. I had the 1.6FSI missing when I bought mine, I think it was built that way. Bought used from @Sarge cleaned the old tape off with solvent, cut new tape to fit each character. They've been there every since 🤞

I think the challenge is the full stop. I was washing mine once and notice the full stop missing and there it was on the ground - that was a fluke. I know I shouldn't have done it, but I used a minute amount or epoxy o_O . Just couldn't see sticky tape holding it.

I used 3M VHB double sided tape, for my . that was over 3 years ago. Still there. Tape was a bit thicker than the recess in each character, probably 1 mm, at a guess.

Audi have offered a no cost option on its cars for many years to have "no model inscription". I have opted for this on several of my new Audi's over the years. The first owner of my A2 specified this option also, hence I have no badges on the rear of the car..

It certainly does. Now most of the salt is washed off the roads I will get it up on a ramp and wash the underside and arches including the front wishbones....

The darker colours do appear more glossy. The car had not been polished in several months only used a shampoo with wax built in. Car does need to have a machine polish now to see what it looks like after kids used it as a pub bench and stuck behind 3 quarry trucks that must have been empty by the time they got to their destination!
