Flickering HID

Hmm, I noticed the other night that one of my HID lights flickers everso slightly (very fast flicker), every so often.

Is this a sign of bulb failure, or of ballast failure, or just a loose connection?

HIDs are approx 9months old so they shouldn't really be on the blink already?
 
Mike fitted mine last october (ADI) i had the 5K anti-glare mine are ok.

Check connectors then failing that give them a bell they should let you know whats going on

Sounds more like a ballast problem. You could try switching ballasts and see if that tells you anything.
 
I had a flicker on one of my 6000k D2S bulbs just before it went - it seems some aftermarket bulbs are not as reliable as others.

It'll be wise to get a pair in to have as spares, just in case - they're quite cheap now on Ebay, or check if Car Mod Shop stock them - their kits are top notch.
