Fog lamps needed in the North !

The lenses on my fog lamps are turning opaque, does anyone know the secret of bringing these clear again. My garage say they can restore them for £50.00, so I know it can be done. I've tried rubbing them up with tooth paste but all I get is sore fingers. Is there a special compound to use ?

Whereabouts in the north are you? I have a pair for sale, which would be less than that...

T-cut or other types of rubbing compound will do the trick nicely..

a very fine wet/dry down and then polish up with a cutting compound. Should cost just over a tenner.

I don’t think this will work on the glass lenses
But may be wrong, I believe cerium oxide is needed on a felt polishing pad,
They can be cleaned internally with ipa.
