Front discs

Has anyone any idea of the part number for front dics/pads for a 2002 75SE Tdi?
 
Why go for expensive OE parts when you can fit aftermarket for a lot less (let's put is this way, I can fit you a set of Mintex discs and pads (parts and labour) for the cost of a set of Audi pads alone).

Oh, and they are the same in terms of performance and longevity as OE too - I use them on Tank as have many other owners.

Good tip there from Mike

My current set up is Brembo Discs and EBC Gree Pads all round (90hp TDI)

I had all the filters changed yesterday, air, diesel filter, pollen and oil with new Castrol Edge oil. Car is running very very well.

For all of this I paid £65.00 in labour (that is all the servicing and disc/pads change) All done whilst I waited and watched in 2.5 hours.

Service parts were £70.00
Oil was £30.00 (ebay)
Brakes Setup was £160 (GSF)
Labour £65.00

So in total £325.00 (Audi wanted £235.00 just to do the service part)

No problem - you can ask Deseli how hers are after Monday - she's having a set of Mintex fitted.

Sorry for a possible hijack - where is the recommended place to buy Mintex discs from please? Mike - where do you buy from? Mine are warped, I thought I just needed the wheels balancing :(

I get them from a local wholesaler - I believe Ebay is a good source, but check that both the discs AND pads are Mintex - there's some dodgy kits out there with Mintex pads but no-name discs.
