Front Fog Light Replacement Help

Hello,
This is my 1st post....
Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to find a replacement glass for a smashed front fog light & also how to gain access to actually carry out the replacment please? - I'd like to do it myself instead of heading down to my local audi garage!

Also I have been searching for a workshop manual for my A2 1.4 SE 2002, can anyone suggest the best place to try?

Many Thanks,
Soluble

Hi soluble - i had the same problem and looked about but ended up back at Audi - £130 less in my bank!! Just so you know what you're looking at cost wise!!

Hello Soluble,

I've just had a look at the part numbers and unfortunately, it's an 8Z number, which means A2 only (sometimes you find that the car shares parts with other more common Audis, which makes finding the parts at say a breakers or on Ebay a lot easier).

If you get the part only from your dealer, it's a very straight-forward fitting job which will save you a bit of labour cost.

I did a fitting guide a couple of years back on changing fog light bulbs - have a look for that in the forums somewhere - it's got pictures and everything!

Cheers,

Mike

Thank you for all of the replies. I'm off to search for the fitting guide now, waiting for audi to give me a price for the part.

I seem to have spent quite a lot of time at my local Audi garage recently, with a persistent engine management / emissions fault, which has got them totally foxed (their words!) which has cost me fortune so far. So i am trying to avoid giving them anymore of my money than I have to!

It looks like the fitting guide has gone into the ether!

I'll get another one prepared shortly for you.

If the dealer is foxed by your problem, they shouldn't be charging for work which isn't rectifying the problems.

Cheers,

Mike
