FSi Cambelt change

Hi All, I need a bit of advice if you don't mind. I recently bought a FSi, it has done 55k miles with a decent service history. When do I need to change the cambelt? I have noticed people on here also change the water pump. Is this done at the same time? Forgive my basic questions and lack of knowledge but I thought I would ask the experts. Thank you in advance. :)

Thank you for replying. Do you replace them both at the same time? I presume it is cost effective this way. I am due a full service and unfortunately lack the skills to do this myself. Depending on the cost I would prefer it all done at once.

Just did mine,
Cambelt kit
Water pump
And you might as well do the auxiliary belt as it has to come off in the process.. welcome and good luck with it.

Thanks for the advice. Appreciate it
We bought our first A2, an FSi, last year and after driving home I immediately had the work outlined by BoxyA2 performed. It was perhaps a lucky move as the all the parts removed were dated 2003 (86,000 miles), the year of the car's manufacture. I made a point of buying a lottery ticket that day!

Did ours last month as it was last done in 2010, but the belt looked fine to be honest. Not sure what the recommended intervals are but 5 years or 60000 miles seems fair to me, especially when I had one snap on a 6 year old 46k miles polo.
