Hi all hope you’re all well,my little fsi won’t start,it turn over fine,plugged in diagnostic but there is no communication the ecu,checks done so far fuses all look ok,I’ve got 5v at mass air but no 12v,12v at coil pack but no 5v,earth cables look ok and tight does anyone have a wiring diagram or any idea thank for any help given
 
No communication with the ECU means that it has failed or there is no power to it. The latter is probably more likely. Check that you have 12v to pins 3 & 5 on the connector with ignition on. Power is provided via J271 (position 1 of the 3-point relay carrier (under the floor, driver's side) and then via the ECU fuse (under J271, to the right).

That you Rab,got it started,did find what appears to be water in the small plug of the ecu,thinking possibly from one of the temp sensors,haven’t checked yet,may also explain why I had throttle problems the month before as the throttle body is controlled from the same plug,I got the engine wiring diagram off www.autotecdata.co.uk
