Fuel temperature sender / sensor broken cable re-soldering.

I’ve notice to cables hanging right side of my audi A2 engine, quick question from A2oc confirmed they were fuel temperature sender cables that broken off from plug. Thank you a2oc. IMG_3380.JPGIMG_3379.jpg

I plugin the fault code scanner, its confirms the issue, ( 17571 error)

Re Solder the two wires to old plug cap, used heat shrink and glue to make waterproof it. Sensor only monitor the “Resistance” , so if you swap the cable no matter, no wrong way round(you can solder any cable any wire)

Put back in car and used a cable tie to make sure all securely held. IMG_3425.jpg

Erase the old code and run the engine for a while and rescanned. "No more error codes" Happy days! more MPG and smooth engine run.
Thank you A2OC for your guides.
