Full respray but what colour?

Sorry to ask this of a bodyshop guy, but would you consider a wrap? (Don't hit me for suggesting it LOL)

I had planned to have an A2 wrapped in chrome (due to the fact it is mostly aluminium.

But then I saw a cherry red chrome wrap and to me that would look great, but I would have to pay someone to supply and fit it and that would be over £3,000 (probably a lot over too)

My plan was to get a red one so that the door shuts etc. wouldn't look naff.

But on a silver one a straight chrome wrap would look amazing.

Been done years ago, but still something to consider.

(You can hit me now) :)

The other day I was looking at a silver A2 and wondering how it would look with the Aluminium polished like an Airstream?

Or the OP could save money on the respray and simply add some go-faster stripes to their silver chariot...

A TDI being the engine of choice.

The shiny one is oddly pleasing in a mirage kind of way. How annoyed would you be if it got dirty though?

To get the polished alloy look you have to wrap it. As Ian has said the wings and arches are plastic

i think a modern audi colour would look great on an a2, something like NARDO GREY with black wheels would be my choice.

Always fun playing with ideas. I've recently wondered why so few green cars? Had in mind something like Lotus racing green which I think is like British Racing green but lighter and metallic.
Chrome looks immense but as said, "how do you feel when it gets dirty?"
I prefer resprays to look like a manufacturer option colour. Not one of those squirmy purple and green efforts.

Some people think green cars are unlucky apparently.

Many moons ago statistics showed that green cars were more likely to be involved in accidents hence them being regarded as unlucky. It was a false stat though as green coloured cars topped the sales lists during that particular year in the 1970,s.

A false stat,.....from our media. Whatever next.

Deleted content as it duplicated previous postings by others - for some reason didn't see them.

You could go for a colour storm approach and have the plastics in a different colour. Or vinyl wrapped.
