Some people on the German forums are looking to try and see if other VAG parts might be "close enough" to fit.

Currently looking for measurements of the originals, if someone has some of these cables out of the car right now?

[1.4 TDI AMF] Schaltseil gerissen. Alternativen?

Leider ist bei mir beim 1.4 Tdi amf EWQ das Schaltseil gerissen. Neu ist keines mehr auffindbar. Außer bei einer Firma in EBAY die abere nicht seriös erscheint. (Bietet originale nachbauten an) Teilenummer ist ja wohl 8Z0711874S Gibt es dazu Alternativen - neu Teilenummern ? oder hat wer gute geb...

Late to the party, but mine broke as well. I have sourced the only one I could find from a scrapyard in Lithuania. It has just arrived today, it looks like you would expect an almost 20-year old part to look like. My mechanic is going to install it tomorrow, so fingers crossed. I would still like to express my interest in one if these can be sourced once again from AT.

Would it be to much to ask for if - as some kind of Christmas miracle - a stock is still hiding out there...
