gearbox oil level and front hub nut torque

Hi

can anyone confirm where the filler plug is for the gearbox / diff. an image search suggests the front or at the back above the dog bone stabiliser. 2001 amf tdi 75

Also .... front hub nut torque a post in the how to mentioned 23 nm can't be right .....

I think it says on another thread its 120 nm

The gearbox oil filler is on the front of the 'box. The drain plug is on the bottom, hidden by the gearbox mount for the dogbone. You'll need to remove the three bolts holding the bracket to get at the plug.

As for the hub nut - the Haynes manual for the 9N Polo says 50Nm plus a further 45 degrees for the 12-pointed nut type. Whether that holds good for the A2...…?

You'll need a thin wall 12 point socket to remove the nut
