Anyone planning to attend the upcoming German Car Day at Brooklands on Sunday, September 25? These themed days are great fun and perfect for anyone interested in classic cars or historic aircraft. Those displaying a vehicle even get the chance to drive and park on parts of the historic banked circuit (but not too high). I also recommend the fabulous Mk1A Wellington Bomber recovered from LochNess and now on display In the main hanger.

Sadly, the cost of putting a show on, with red tape, security, public liability insurance, etc, means a high entrance fee is inevitable.
There are many events which were, until recently, fixtures in the calendar, but, are no longer viable economically.
Remember too, that £20 will only buy you 1/4 of a typical (non A2) tank of fuel.
