German club annual meet - 28th June, Essen

Hi,

the annual meeting of the German club is just over the dutch border this year, with visits to Essen's "Zollverein" mine, design museum and a ride in the "emperor's wagon" of the overhead light railway in Wuppertal.

It won't be this close to the UK again for a while, so if you're stuck for a weekend away, it's about 4 hours drive from Calais. I will be there, I just don't know where I'll be beforehand, maybe even in the UK and driving over on the Friday.... we'll see.

That looks to have been a good turnout of the membership.

I know there are a few of us from the UK interested in a road trip over to Germany to meet up for the next annual meeting, so perhaps we could make the turnout even larger for next year

I'm sure our social secretary’s will be keeping in touch over the next few months to gather information for a possible joint meeting.

Thanks! We hit around 28 cars, I think, there were a few different ones around on Saturday evening and during the day.
