'Ghost' radio

Hi. I just wondered if anyone else had a ghost in their radio like I do. Sometimes the radio will come on when I open the door. The key isn't in the ignition at this point.
All of my previous A2s have done this too, so it doesn't bother me. Just part of their many quirks, but I just wondered if anyone else had experienced it.

Maybe you live on some sort of supernatural lay line or something if all your A2’s have done this. ?
I have never seen anything like this on my Symphony 2. I did I’m sure hear something somewhere that each individusl key can recall its own settings radio station volume etc I have tried to do this with my keys but have never got it to work. Maybe someone else with more knowledge than us will be along in a bit to explain further.

Thank you Drew. Will be interesting to see if anyone else has experienced it. Perhaps A2s like to sing to me ? x

my MGTF does this. that's very weird...
That's a radio with a detachable faceplate, and despite this, it sometimes comes on itself for a few minutes. And that's during its winter hibernation... no human intervention.
Maybe the cars wants me to call here Christine ? :p

Now I remember that it occurred once on the A2, the radio (mk2 RNS-E) came one when I opened the passenger door. I put it down the low charge of the battery...

Thank you. I'm glad at least one person has had it happen.
My current A2 has only just started doing it. Could be a wire loose somewhere I guess
 
Do you switch the radio off when you exit the car Teresa or just remove the key and lock it? Perhaps it's just pleased to see you ;)

I just remove the key and lock it, rather than turn the radio off.

I like to think that too - makes me think of Bumblebee in Transformers. I'll have to take notice of the song that is playing next time she does it :)
