Goodbye & thanks

Well, after almost 6 years of A2 ownership I've finally said goodbye and not without plenty of soul-searching. I still feel I've parted with a future classic!

My A2 experience began with an early petrol (1.4 only back in 2001) SE followed by a 90tdi in 2004. In total I travelled 106k miles and it was the rapidly rising mileage and a few reliability concerns that finally lead to the decision to move on.

Thanks for a great forum - it added immeasurably to the ownership experience. May you go from strength to strength.

Kind regards

Ian

Ian,

Good luck with your choice of replacement vehicle, hope you manage another 106K in whatever car you decide to purchase.

Having just spent nearly £500 on a variable service & brake fluid change myself, I could be forgiven for seeing some pitfalls in A2 ownership. But, I haven't. I have the same affinity with this future classic as I always have and I can't imagine parting with the car, so it mus be a gut wrenching moment for you.

The positive comments that I received from those in the dealership about my A2 and the A2 in general, reinforce the poor decision by Audi to shelve production.

Hope you manage to find something out there that is as satisfying to drive and own.

Regards,

Darren
