GREAT NOISE FROM DOORS TRIMS

A2 1.4 TDI. Only 4 months old; only 14000 km on the clock!!
This doesn't put the A2 (and AUDI of course) at a high quality level, isn't it??
When you have these kind of noise and vibration on a Renault, on a Fiat, on a Hyundai or similar (I had these experiences!!) they say: "It's normal, it's our standard quality, it's not a great damage, we can do nothing".

I think this shouldn't be in the case of Audi, BMW and Mercedes (no matter if A2, A8, A-Class or S-Class).

Apart from these considerations, how can I solve the problem? Any foam or other anti-vibration material to put inside the doors??? Or what??

Thanks in advance...

Mauro.

You need to isolate precisely what is making the noise.

The door trip once removed, has an alloy plate beneath it, this is pretty well screwed into place, the wires behind the trim and secure as well.

Could it be in the door pocket or something stuck in the pocket,, is it both doors or maybe just a slightly lose fit between the trim and the frame.

I had mine off for six weeks whilst some work was being done to the audio system and I took the opportunity to completely cover the outer door skin, both sides of that alloy plate and the back of the door trim with some quality sound deadening material..

It was a real fight to get everything back on but those doors sound SOLID and feel it to,, the reduction in road noise alone was worth it.
