Evening all,
I recently joined but have been remiss about introducing myself.
I have an 04 1.4 TDI which has accomplished 201K miles, I'm extremely happy with it but it does require a new clutch and the gearbox could probably do with some attention.

I've found this clutch kit, has anyone used it before or would they recommend it? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clutch-Kit-3pc-Cover-Plate-Releaser-HK7849-Borg-Beck-Top-Quality-Replacement/232641913408?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Here's a picture of my new car.

Hi welcome. To be honest the clutch at £57 is most likely going to be terrible as a good clutch is around £200 funny enough my car today (project boris) went for a MOT flied through with no problems but the clutch has cost me £315 by central clutches they have 4.7 star reviews so if I was you a £57 clutch would be a no go hope this helps

Thanks

If it's a genuine Borg and Beck clutch then I don't see how you can go wrong. It does seem very cheap as I remember clutch kits for the 1.4 tdi 75 being just over £100 but they may just be getting rid of excess stock.

Thanks Louis and Steve, I will contact the vendor to try and authenticate the kit.
I did think it was too good to be true though.

Go for LUK you can’t go wrong

I would second the LUK clutch kit, it was Audi's original fitment
Have a look on Ebay for a German seller, I have bought more than one clutch kit from them, TDI one was around £110 and included the spinner, cover, release bearing, X arm, pivot bolt. Delivery was 2 days from ordering. really happy with the clutch kit
