Hey folks,

As I am inheriting my dads A2 next weekend (he is giving up driving), I thought it would be prudent to join here because I know I will have lots of questions - and I also know I will end up modding!

It is a 2002 1.4 TDi SE 75 in Silver with 120k on the clock and full service history.

The car has been in the family since it was new and is very well specced with black leather heated seats, cruise, big 'ol sunroof, climate control, front fogs & 4 x electric windows. About the only thing I am going to do first is give it a good valet and bring some life back into the leather as it is looking a little bit tired. I will probably want to get the alloys changed at some point as well because a couple of these are curbed and I fancy the 17" anyway.

Hallo and welcome Andy. Your car sounds very nice, perhaps a couple of pics to share. A good valet and some sports 17ins sounds nice but be aware that the quaility of the ride will be reduced.

Thank you for the info - I shall certainly have a look through shortly.

Re. the 17" rims, I know the ride is pretty hard anyway, but it's a trade-off and I like nice wheels ;-) But a good spruce up will be needed first - oh, and a replacement bonnet as this one had a rock hit it on the motorway and was just patched up. Ebay should be my friend
