Heated leather seats?

I've just checked. Electric lumbar support came as standard on the Sport and as Murdo says the heated seats were a £300 option on any model. They are identified by a roller switch and the heated seats symbol on the climate control.

A little question for specialists :
I recall that I read that from some model/year, the leather seats had the heating elements fitted, even if the car wasn't specced with heated seats.
Is that true ?
And how to check that ?

No, it's not true - I thought this at one point, as only 1 part is listed in the parts catalogue for leather covers and it has the heater elements integrated.

However, it appears that at the factory stage, they could fit leather covers without heater elements - that's wht happened in my case.

It is true, that if you order a new leather seat cover, they always have the seat heating even if the car does not has the heating. This is because they only need to store one type of seat covers.
