Hedlamp waser jets problems..

Hi every one , new here. I have a problem with my hedlamp washer jets. They don´t pop up... when i use the washer there is no sound cuming to the hedlamp jets only to the windscreen... is there 2 pumps from the water box??

Don´t know never reflected to it when i bought it.. But have tryied them with the engine on an nothing..
 
hej,

there are two pumps in the washer box. The lights need to be on and with the ignition on, they should pop up and spray.

Getting to the pump if it doesn't work is a pain; you need to take the driver's side wheel off, the wheelarch liner out and then you can see the fluid holder. Make sense?

Possibly it is the relay instead - this is located under the footwell on the passenger side (UK car) and has a number such as 612 stamped on it - it is the biggest relay down there in a double sized holder.

is that relay only for the hedlamp washer? beacuse the windscreen one´s works fine.
 
It is a combined one - just because one part works though, doesn't mean to say that the other is fine (compare with the indicator relay - quite often the hazards are fine, but the indicators are dodgy).

Couple of things to check before you buy a new one:

The washers only work after you've held the stalk back for more than a couple of seconds and

Make sure that the relay is properly installed, as they do have a tendancy to rattle themselves loose.

Ok! I took the relay out and put it back in and turned the light switch to the half beem mode and.... woolaa!! It works. :D have sprayed the hedlamps all day long.. lol!
