Welcome to the forum. I am about 6 miles north of you, near Rothwell!

Welcome to A2OC . Looking forward to seeing your pics. Have you tried the comparison websites for your insurance ?

welcome from a nearby member! (Huddersfield, not Otley!). Depends on too many different factors to recommend one single company, your age being only one of many, different companies sometimes better suit different needs so suggest you do as advised above.

ok,age 46, 9 years ncb,6 point,s still recognized for 5 years,ending july this year.fully comp best 1 so far 300 quid.still trying cos i,m tight!

I suspect it's the points. Similar to premiums I was paying until my 6 points dropped off last summer.....

Agreed, I seem to recall being told that 3 points doesn't have much impact but 6 does. Depends on the offence too I expect. From July your premium should reduce when you don't need to declare them.

We are ~ £230 annually with full protected NCB, 40year old female main driver. Could probably get that cheaper, but we've used the same broker for years because they are very good and really helped us when I had a total loss claim on the 'other' car; so that's worth a few extra pounds to me.

thanks for all the reply's folks and hello rothwell and hudds.had to bite the bullet and pay 301 fully comp but still i,m now driving an a2.really busy with work so will post pics when i get a minute.thanks

welcome, like yourself a new a2 owner, great choice and all the answers are right here for you on this great forum, had a scare early one morning last week when the frosty mornings returned, whilst defrosting the car I noticed the fumes coming from the o/s front wheel arch, thought I had myself a major issue until a quick search on here gave me peace of mind.;), researched the a2 like yourself for months before purchase but its not until you have one in your possession that you realise what a box of tricks they are, and a good one at that. enjoy your learning curve.

as for insurance I was quoted £50 more than I had been paying on a 1.8 bmw by swiftcover who I have parted company with, esure came in £120 cheaper £260ish with the extras added, similar age as yourself. hth.
