Yeah, it's made up! Votex bodykits and spoilers for the A2 are hugely sought after and command mega money, especially if they've never been painted/fitted. For some people, their ideal A2 cannot be realised without a Votex kit.
 
I’ve not been looking very long, but I can see a few cars priced really high for what they offer. Some even with severe lacquer peel and at high figures. I’ve seen 2 today, one with 28,000 miles and another with 40 odd thousand. They were very high figures. It’s amazing the vast difference from one end of the market to the other.

I suspect that some people are wary of buying from a private seller. That one looks a good buy, particularly as her says in the description that he's looking for "2299 for it (o.n.o). Looks to have rear parking sensors which aren't mentioned in the description.

If I was looking for a TDI 90 I'd certainly be tempted by that.

I’m definatly going to try and go view this car. Looks a nice car really, agreed wheels are scruffy but that can be sorted easily.
Im going to Southport this evening to view a silver A2 with Votex kit on, which isn’t a 90, but is a sport. Looks nice condition overall, slightly higher miles, but I think it’s but on condition and history at this age, not miles.
Im really just wanting to have a little drive of it if I can, want to see how they feel power/weight ratio and handling. Plus it’s got to pass ‘the other half test’ as well. Lol.

Well...........been and viewed my first A2 this evening. I’ll be honest, when I went a ride it, it felt great such a solid little car. The other half can’t believe I’m after such a small car after the 159.
This was the silver A2 TDi Sport, with Votex kit on it. It’s a shame, because condition wise I was disappointed. The kit was not fitting well in places, not far off hanging off, he said it needed new double sided tape where it meets the body. Sikaflex I would thought was a better option. 2 small dents either side of the front grille, one headlight misting up, stress marks on rear bumper, passenger front door doesn’t fit great, needs new door strap drivers side, Votex rear spoiler not present as was stolen, wheels had quite a few marks, fair few scratches need buffing out. Interior was good, all black sports interior, climate buttons not quite as marked as some, has DIS, service history.
Guy wants £2500, won’t take any less than £2k. It might be me, but it seems dear for what I’ve seen tonight. I know it’s got Votex skirts, and I know they sell for £700-£1000, but condition seemed really poor for that money?!?!????

If it had been stolen there wouldn't be much left of it unless it wasn't bonded on properly.

yeah that’s what he said, although I’m sure they’re bolted on.........so I thought hmmm, not sure about that. The kit looks like it wasn’t put on by a dealer in fairness. Looks put on later in its life, and from a different car, if you know what I mean.
I remember in the days of XR2’s, if you got a body kit second hand off one car, it would never fit a second car quite right, gaps and things etc.

It’s been for sale a good while I thought for that condition anyway and mot history was not the best example you could get keep looking ..?
