Hello! New Owner here, and problems from the off! Please help!!!

Right, just had delivery of a 2nd hand Q CCCU for £46, will plug it in an check it with VCDS tomorrow and hopefully program it!

I have done that swap many times and every time everything works without any VCDS coding, apart from the key fobs that have to be paired and that is not too difficult.

I think that you will also find that everything works apart from the remote keys.

My VAG-COM cable turned up today I cleared the old EGR error light.
I scanned the CCU and it listed a loaaaad of errors. I cleared them and one keeps coming back, saying that the module is faulty

It might be worth taking the CCU apart and trying to see if it has any dry joints, ive fixed 2 Q models like this, depends how competant you are with a soldering iron.

I would leave well enough alone unless you have any symptoms. I have had a few A2s with that warning and no symptoms whatsoever.

Cheers for the warning, but I've taken the Brave Pills.

The EGR warning isn't related to the CCU is it? I thought the EGR was part of the Engine ECU.

My cccu reports a unit fault with VCDS, and the electric window control on the passenger side doesn't work.
I'll swap them over tomorrow and hopefully the ebay one will show no faults.
