Hello all,

Firstly. How BRILLIANT and cool are these little cars!

As a long term Audi fan and because I hadn't actually even seen an A2 for so long they weren't on my radar when I thought of a change and I'm sure I won't regret it.
So....Just bought an FSI 2003 SE in silver, 1 owner from new, full history mostly main dealer or VAG specialist with every bit of paperwork and receipts for 20yrs, 57k with absolutely spotless interior and just a few scuffs on bumper corners.
Just drove it to work for the first time after saying goodbye to my TT Mk1 and it's a dream!

This club looks great and I do have a small issue that hopefully 'Ami' has sorted so, boom.

Just to add I am a trained Technician and engineer and though I've still got to learn the 'foibles' of this new baby, if I can help I will.

Mick ✌️

Welcome to the elite band of FSI'ers.
No FSI owner should be without a VAG specific scan tool. The free version of VCDS Lite is a good place to start.

Welcome! Would be interested is hearing your comparison between the FSI and the (1.8?)TT. Very different cars I know, but all the same…

Cheers,

Stuart

I've got one of each, and there's no point in a comparison, they are so different.
But, they are both design icons from a period when Audi were still able to produce cars that were different, but had a clear design philosophy and recognisable "face" Unlike today's ugly behemoths.
Mac.

Welcome aboard,
Interesting car with that sort of provenance, well captured!
Looking forward to hearing more.

Best of luck,

Simon

Hi Mick and everyone else on the forum. I'm also new to the forum and this is my first post also. I haven't yet purchase an A2 but hopefully it won't take too long to find one. I'm not a mechanic and I wouldn't trust myself with a spanner let alone a computer to plug into a car!!!

First, the confession - my everyday runner is a 1997 A4 B5 Tdi 110. It's done 290k but it's still a great workhorse. Now that's out the way, the A2. I've wanted since they were launched. They are great little cars with so much personality. They also come from a time when Audi's were Audi's. I came close once 10 years ago but the sun, stars and the moon didn't align and I was left without. Time has passed but the desire for an A2 never wandered. At last, my son has passed his test and what better than an A2 as a first car. Better still, he is at university and the car will sit at home for me to enjoy!!!!!

And so the quest begins. I look forward being part of the forum. It seems like the A2 is a bit of gem!

Kindest Regards

Welcome aboard. Let us know what you have in mind and register for Market Place.

Happy hunting.

Hi Simon,
Thank you. I've joined Market Place. Seems to be the best place to look with plenty of advice. Ideally a lowish mileage (up to 150k?) 1.4Tdi or a 1.6FSi. Not too fussed about specification but I'd like it to be from a good family and all original/honest! Will post as soon as we have one - my son's has really grown on the idea of an A2 which is fantastic!
