Hi all from Barcelona

Radio codes are covered in this link from Mustang Owner - http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_Radio_Generation_II

Not sure if you are trying to code a new key or recode the existing ones but this post from Sarge may help - http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthrea...d-programming-a-spare-key&p=131796#post131796

Also worth reading the full thread

Hi Spike,

I think he is referring to the codes used to set up the CCCU rather than radio. It looks like the swap from an "S" to an "AF" CCCU is giving him problems.

Thank you Cheers Spike.

The new 8Z0 959 433 AF (coding 06859) i'm not sure but i think its coding for an Alarm, because when I scan the vcds there are an error of the sensors and rear window. my A2 don't have an Alarm.
I need to recoding but I donn't know what is the options of recoding in a first time I input the coding of the old central 8Z0 959 433 S.

I don't have a recoding the radio because when I scan the RADIO modul VCDS say "this modul not exist" and the radio it's connect to Can HI, Can Low and the K Line. I checked the continuity of the K cable from Radio to PIN 7 diagnostic connector and it's OK. I Think it's problem of the 46 Central convenience but not sure.

I'll see links to tell me

Thank you

I may be wrong but I believed that ALL A2s have an alarm, but you would never know if because it rarely goes off and is extremely quiet.
Perhaps the European A2s didn't have one, but I can't imagine why not.
Some owners with a faulty CCCU remove the "beep" unit due to the fact that the alarm can trigger at random when the CCCU breaks.

Hello Merry Christmas to all forum.

This afternoon Santa has brought my first gift.

I changed the coding in unit 46 and I have set up remote key perfectly

Tomorrow I hope to have time and explain the information

First thanks to all of you who have contributed to this retrofitting and especially to Spike for showing the Link.

1.- I buy a Unit J393 in EBAY (8Z0 959 433 AF) (AUDI A2 convenience center unit 8Z0 959 433AF 1.6 FSI) € 95
2.- I buy a remote control key with 3 buttons in EBAY (8Z0 837 231) (Audi A 2 3 4 6 VW Skoda Funk Klapp Schlüssel 8Z0 837 231 D Original (11D) 25 €
3.- I replace the new unit in the place of the old unit, under the driver's feet (EU Model).
4.- I connect a 0.5 mm wire (antenna) on pin 16 of the red connector (Numebr 5) to the left of 16 pins
5.- With the VCDS (Vag-Com) program the ECU 46 CENTRAL CONV
-5a.- In CODING I change CODING to 6768 = 16 + 32 + 64 + 512 + 2048 + 4096 (my old unit (8Z0 959 433 S) had the code 02096 = 16 + 32 + 2048
-5b.- In ADAPTATION, channel 21 NEW VALUE 1 (or total of controls to program), the TEST key i'ts transparent because the central it's awaiting the C Step
-5c.- Within 5 seconds press the lock button/s on the new remote control. When the signal it's recogniced you can see in window 3.

This is the info for a CODING 46 CENTRAL CONV.

VALUE +1 Alarm disable by deliberate entsafen
VALUE +2 Acknowledgement Alarm flash
VALUE +4 Security Central (SVZ), The selective ZV will open the first unlock only the driver's door

You need to control this others channels

ADAPTATION/CHANNEL 60

00000=Vehicles without automatic climate control
00001=Vehicles with automatic climate control

ADAPTATION/CHANNEL 61

00000=without Remote Control, 4x Electric Windows
00001=without Remote Control, 2x Electric Windows
00002=with Remote Control, 4x Electric Windows
00003=with Remote Control, 2x Electric Windows

I prove my others Remote Controls of my old A4-1998 (two buttons) and the actual Q7-2007 (three buttons) but don't syncroniced.

Sorry for my English

Hi Jaumet

Ref the second thread link in post 20, did you spot the info on coding new keys. The 'SKC' code is needed to allow you to synchronise the key with the immobiliser when using VagCom. The SKC part of the procedure requires a special scanner and can't be done with VagCom or similar diagnostic software.

Cheers Spike

Hello Cheers

In this moment I have the old key without remote control together the new remote control to open and start the A2 and all works fine.

I have not reached this step (synchronise the key with the immobiliser), I prefer in this first step make the synchronization of remote control for opening doors.

Having successfully executed the previous step I bought the HAA uncut key blade and I am awaiting for the package.

When I have the uncut blade mounted on the remote control and mechanized I prove this procedure.

But from what you say I think don't works fine.

In this momment I have 2 key's without remote control and another one with the remote control who only open the doors, I'm not sure but another possibility it's this one.

Change the chip to old normal key to a new remote control key.

Do you see any problems in these two possibilities? I appreciate comments

Hello.

I receibed a uncut blade, in this moment I can start with the new key but now the Inmobiliser shutoff the engine.
With the vagcom I prove to make an adaptation in the channel 21 there are 2 keys, but when I change this channel to 3 I only see ERROR in the test window.

You can't match the immobiliser with VAGcom, you can only match the remote operation of the locks with VAGcom.

You need a specialist to match the immobiliser.
If the key was a used key then you will need a new immobiliser chip and then have it matched to the car by a specialist

As far as I know you use channel 21 OR 3, not both.

Thank you Birchall.

I speak with my audi dealer to see if they can do it or a company in Barcelona that is dedicated to making changes of keys for cars

That sounds like a plan, let us know how you get on. I hope it is all sorted for you (at a reasonable cost!)

Steve B

I can speak with the company in Barcelona, the cost of program the inmobiliser it's 35€, and if it's necessary change the transponder it's 20€.

Total Maximun cost 55€, do you think a rasonable cost?

That sounds reasonable to me and you will have to change the chip in the key.

If I could get this done in the UK for those prices I would jump at it (Not knowing what Sarge will charge but he is a decent bloke and I will see if he can do mine)
