Hi all!

Hi,
I'd just like to say Hello and introduce the new member of the family. It's a 75ps TDi Sport with 90k

First mod has been to repair the wiper arm as the grommet was missing and the windscreen is scratched. I tapped the hole out to 3mm and fitted a nylon bolt :)

Welcome to the forum and compliments on a nice A2. Dolphin grey is a lovely colour especially when clean and shiny like your pic at the dealers.

A novel fix on the common missing grommet. Mine was a full replacement after the screen suffered a crack.

Watch that the nylon bolt doesn't also tap off the screen and result in a plastic haze on the glass. The joint at the wiper arm can become worn over time and sits much closer to the screen than it should.

Dolphin Grey is one of the classiest colours for an A2 in my opinion. Welcome to the club.

Tom

Thanks for the welcome. The nylon and arm tweak is a quick fix until I can swallow the fact that a new arm is over £80!

I hope to keep it as shiny as I can. I've a bit of a cleaning fetish as some of the boys on Audisrs know me and the condition of my B5 RS4 :)

Hello ickle Mikey, fancy seeing you on here!!

Welcome aboard the fun forum, it's a lot more chilled-out in here than it is elsewhere!

Nah my insurance won't allow any mods, besides it does everything I need it to do quite efficiently - with a bit of luck it might be up for sale later this year anyway, I'm itching to get back into some Pork :)

Sorry Murdo, Mikey and I know each other through owning an S4 & RS4 - the specialist we use(d) is called MRC Tuning which is run by very two clever chaps called Doug & Mihnea and the forums we frequent can sometimes get bogged-down by a few keyboard warriors. Fortunately we have none of that bother here!

My previous car was a Porsche 968, I'd only ever planned to keep an A2 for the winter period last year but having owned and sold my first one within months I bought another, so here I am over a year later with my 'winter' car . . . but as I mentioned earlier I do plan to get a Porsche of some description this year but I'll miss the A2 . . .
