Hi from Cornwall

Step awaaaaay from the K&N (or any other "performance" filter)!

All they offer is more debris in your engine, they do not offer any performance advantage.

What bolt ons, I can think of a K&N air filter, anything else?
Hybrid turbo, uprated injectors, uprated intercooler, different exhaust system. That’s before you get into the murky world of bypassing the various anti-pollutant systems the car has (which of course I wouldn’t recommend)

I think that I will just go for the remap, many thanks to everyone for the info.........

Hi also use my A2 for the daily grind from snozzle to Newquay. Ideal for the roads, no rust and a tank of diesel lasts a month.
Mines a 90 and same colour as yours. I find the lack of a motorway or long run means I have to run a Bottle of turbo clean through 3times a year but that's probably a VVT issue.
Do see plenty of A2's down here as they are sea air proof and slim.
Welcome to the club.

In Hayle there are 4 tdi's, 3 silver & 1 almost like an oak green, in Troon there are also 4, 3 of them are colour storms (2 yellow) it's a popular little car down here &

Imagine you have had the belt done that kit should be correct there was a chassis change in the water pump thou

I would check the engine earth or simply add an additional one from engine mount to aux tensioner works perfect, later VAG's have very much the same factory earth

Hi all,

Quick question if I might, I'll ask here rather than clog up the rest of the forum (I did search but couldn't find anything conclusive).

Checked back through the history on the car and the cambelt was last done in 2013 and 95,000 miles ago so needs doing. I've also got an issue with starting where it'll start then stall straight away for the first turn or so, then it'll start OK. I did a quick search and someone mentioned previously that it could be a stretched belt.

Anyway, I've got a mechanic mate who'll do the belt for me so that's fine, but just want to check whether this is the right kit before I order. Always had Gates belts before so happy with that, and it states its for the AMF engine (which I have) but just want to double check.

Thanks all
Good to know the tdi timing belt can manage 95k+

Hi, yes in that I have a Pine green (dark green) 1.4 Petrol, has a "sporty" white audi sticker on the passenger door bottom on both sides. I live well of the beaten track so its only ever seen on the way to the shops or dropping kids to StIves.
