Hi to all. I purchased my A2 1.4tdi last week to mine and even more so my wifes delight. It looks absolutely stunning in red and fully working panoramic sunroof. I was pleasantly suprised with the space inside the cabin and it drives lovely(or so i thought). When i picked the car up the chap selling it to me said that every now and again that the car doesnt run as it should but if you turn the ignition off and then start her up again the cars fine. Ive done 450 miles in it this week and everything fine until yesterday when this problem occured. Now looking through this forum the problem looks like it could be a split hose or intercooler. Not a very good start to owning an A2 but ive been so impressed with everything so far and love driving it which i didnt think i would. Look forward to chatting and interacting with all of you. Cheers Andrew

Welcome along bud, I'm quite new myself and I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along to answer your query, as it's a very friendly helpful site. Congrats on your purchase by the way, red is a lovely colour to own!
cheers Paul

Thanks Paul i was gutted i had to get rid of my BMW to be fair but since picking the A2 up i havent given the Beemer a thought im soooooo impressed with how it drives and the amount of money i will be saving on fuel, tax and insurance. There isnt many about either (i think ive seen 1 this week) which all adds to the reason i wanted one!

Forgot to say, if you don't do your own spanner work or have a good local independent garage, consider having a trip down to Stealth Racing nr Birmingham for the repair. It will be worth the trek and you may also get tempted with a custom remap (and enjoy the drive home with 105bhp or so.)

Cheers Spike

This is my A2 it catches the eye of people anyway:) photo.jpg

Seen Stealth mentioned quite a few times on different posts. Im not very handy mechanically wise but im willing to give small jobs a try! How much would i be looking at for the re-map and are they quite reasonable with labour charges? Cheers Andrew

If memory serves, Stealth charge A2OC members £225. It's a one-off payment that completely transforms your car; well worth it in my opinion.
Beyond that, they charge £49/hour; about half that of the Audi dealerships but with vast A2-specific knowledge. Again, well worth it in my opinion. I live 3 hours drive from Stealth but am happy to make the journey.

Tom

Cheers Tom the hourly rates are very reasonable (i pay £35 an hour for an indy) and that re-map looks a very likely option. Thanks again Andrew
