At the 40000 mile service Audi did not replace the spark plugs. At around 50000 miles they started to go 1 by 1 causing it to drop to 3 cylinders. Each time it happened the Audi technicians blamed the lead to the spark plugs but after it happened 3 times I refused to collect it till they changed the spark plugs. Since then the engine has been fine. The only other gripe is the paint has flacked of the buttons on the radio. At around 58000 miles I went to Audi, within waranty, to complain. They confirmed to me in writing that this was not a warranty claim and the dealer accused me of picking the paint of the radio. I argued that if this had occured on an A8 they would have fixed it but the official line is any cosmetic wear is only covered for 10000 miles. Not Audis finest hour and in my opinion a clear design floor.
In terms of consumables I have had 1 pair of new front tyres and they will need replacing again including the backs this time at about 80000 miles which I think is amazing.
If they had replaced the spark plugs there would have been no problems! Anyone else covered high miles?
