Chat Highest Mileage A2??

Hi Sarge,

A2Z went to see this car and wrote the following:

"Just a little heads up whilst i'm on the subject of ebay if anyone is considering bidding on the 03 plate TDI with 235k don't bother!
Not wishing to be rude to the seller but i viewed that car when it was for sale a few months ago and i could have bought it for £1100 (i think it was) but it must be the worst A2 in the world as there was not one item that wasn't damaged or broken.
It had apparently been owned by a pig farmer (or something like that) who had used it as a van!
The MOT failure list was as long as my arm.
I would never slate someone's ad or attempt to cost anyone a sale but when the seller states that it would be like new with a bit of work then that's just not right.
So save your time and money and look elsewhere as it wouldn't even be good for salvage as there are no parts that would be fit to re-use IMHO."

Cheers,

Tom

I Must have missed that thread, thanks Tom.

Wasn't looking to buy it anywhere near the current price anyway :)

Cheers

It just casually popped up in an unrelated thread. When I saw your post, I though I'd copy it across.

Indeed, for £1100 it would be worth considering, but at nearly £1500, it's already too expensive given A2Z's assessment of it.

That is officially the worst £1400 ever spent and i'd be absolutely flabbergasted if the buyer completes the sale and hands over any amount of money for it!

Honestly Timmus you wouldn't have spent £1100 or 1100 pence for that car if you saw it.

I was absolutely delighted to have made a loss on it and walk away, factoring in the hpi check i carried out (which is it's only positive by the way, as it was clear) and my travelling expenses to view it but it was genuinely terrible.
